In 1982, Drew Jameson and Curt Bales made a presentation to the Rosedale Optimist Club, who donated $3040 to build the track. Notorious for its 6-foot first jump, a 20-foot drop off the back of the first turn, and a base layer of asphalt, concrete, and rebar. Its most celebrated feature was the region's first pneumatically operated starting gate, designed and built by Mark Denton and Drew Jameson.
